My
father, Herschel R. Kendrick, founded our company in 1953. He
typically delivered water to the farmers of Warren County, Ohio
at nightime then removed the water tank and moved household goods
in the daytime.
Through the 60's and 70's with the help of 5 sons
(including myself) and one daugher, Kendrick Moving & Storage
became one of the more prominent businesses in the area. We branched
out into hauling freight under Kendrick Motor Freight and did
some trucking for Wright Patterson Air Force Base during its early
stages of development. Meanwhile Kendrick Moving and Storage was
moving such names as NFL superstar Ozzie Newsome, Mike Bowling
(creator of Pound Puppies), and even Neil Armstrong. By 1990 we
had accumulated 50 trucks, 75 trailers and 100 employees.
Three years after my father passed away in 1991,
my mother, Martha Kendrick, decided to sell all of the trucks
and our atlas affiliated agency. However, she kept the 4 acre
truck terminal and it's buildings, which I reopened in 1996 and
purchased from her in 1999.
Over the years I have been able to organize and
accomplish some of Warren Counties largest and most difficult
moves, such as:
- Warren County Probate Court
- Warren County Clerk of Courts
- Offices of Warren County
- Lebanon City Schools
- Springboro City Schools
- Armco's move from the City Center Mall
- Relocation and storage of approximately 150 enlisted
personnel per year from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base
My four brothers and one sister grew up packing
and moving with pride and dependability. I try to instill these
methodical, strong and careful ideals into all of my employees.
I guarantee that you will receive an honest and conscious effort
toward perfection on every single move that we perform.
